Our company is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager, based in ourTianjin, PRC Office, who will be responsible for overseeing the HR function for our Tianjin Office. In this hands-on role, you will manage company’s on-site recruitment team, provide day-to-day support to company’s employees and managers, and partner closely with the global HR organization to establish and refine the HR infrastructure such that it optimally supports business requirements and creates a unified company. You’ll operate at both a strategic and tactical level and will report to the Director of Human Resources. This will be a challenging role and a great opportunity for someone looking to help build, and significantly contribute to, a fast growing, privately-held, wireless software company.

 

Responsibilities include

Work closely with local management drive business initiatives.

Partner with global HR to develop and implement local, industry competitive compensation and benefits programs. Network with local HR colleagues to gather competitive market data. Partner with global HR to complete local compensation and benefits surveys.

Partner with the HR Director and local management to maximize company’s ability to attract, recruit, manage, engage and retain top talent.

Define local recruitment strategies. Manage the administration of local recruitment activities including generating job requisitions and offers, overseeing in-house recruiters and handling local search firms and vendors. Train managers on interviewing skills and techniques.

Partner with global HR and local senior management on the development, implementation and refinement of consistent systems, processes, policies and practices.

Partner with the HR Director in the administration of company-wide programs including salary review, performance management, etc.

Handle employee relations issues.

Partner with the HR Director and local management to assess employee training and development needs, and to implement solutions.

Ensure company’s values are consistently adhered to in the workplace.

Partner with global HR and local senior management to promote a “great place to work” culture.

Partner with the HR Director and local management on employee communications.

Oversee maintenance of all employee records and maintain HRIS.

Manage induction programs.

Drive or assist with various HR projects as needed.

 

Required Skills & Experience

University degree and 7+ years of progressively responsible PRC HR experience.

Experience serving as an HR Manager, ideally for a North American IT technology company.

Ability to work closely with, influence and coach management.

Ability to balance the sometimes conflicting perspectives/needs of HQ and the field in a way that brings about the best outcome for the company.

Solid knowledge of applicable PRC employment laws and practices forTianjin.

Strong knowledge of, and experience with, local industry practices in the areas of benefits, compensation, employee relations, training, and staffing programs.

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Experience using HRIS.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively (in writing and verbally) in Chinese (Mandarin) and English

Strong organization and analytical skills.

The ability to coordinate multiple activities at once.

A pragmatic business orientation and a willingness to do what it takes to achieve desired results.

Ability to travel to theU.S.andBeijing, as needed.

A strong desire to help build a world class technology company and HR organization.

A good sense of humor and a desire to have fun at work very desirable!
